Christ In ActionDonations from the single "Trust in the Lord" are going to be used to support the work of Christ in Action. So who is Christ in Action (CIA) and how are the funds going to be used?

Christ in Action

Bringing Hope to America's Families

Christ in Action (CIA) is a faith based 501 C -3 non-profit organization  founded in January of 1982 by Dr. Denny & Sandy Nissley committed to making a difference with excellence, integrity, hard work, a good attitude and God's help. CIA specializes in creative evangelism strategies providing opportunities for Christians of all ages to make Christ known.

The donations from the sale of “ Trust In The Lord” will be used to assist with rebuilding homes, purchasing and delivery of  construction materials, household goods, water , food and much more, to areas that are in need due to natural disaster or poverty.

Christ in Action currently is rebuilding homes in St. Bernard Parish Louisiana and Biloxi Mississippi. Also providing much needed building materials and necessary supplies to several cities along the Gulf Coast. CIA has several  other campaigns going on as well: Convoy of Compassion-brings much needed supplies to areas that have been adversely effected by disasters. Homes of Hope- brings volunteers to aid in the rebuilding of homes that have been damaged by disasters.

Faith Based First Responders bring trained volunteers who can be quickly called upon to provide support during the next major disaster. Their mission is to support on the ground with medical support, freshly prepared food, chaplains for counseling, supplies for distribution and shelter in the very first hours after a disaster takes place.

From the White House report on Katrina Lessons learned -What went right ...

"Christ in Action, an inter-denominational non-profit organization from Manassas, Virginia deployed volunteers and mobile kitchens to Gulfport, MS and began feeding people on September 1. After 115 days of operations, Christ in Action served over 420,000 meals and repaired over 500 houses in time for families to reoccupy their homes by Christmas. Based upon lessons learned from this experience, Dr. Denny Nissley, the Director of Christ in Action, is organizing a Coalition of Faith-Based First Responders from around the Nation to be prepared for the next major disaster. This Coalition will perform disaster relief training for volunteers and will maintain a current roster of thousands of volunteers who can be quickly called upon to provide support during the next major disaster."
