With most of the proceeds of this song, “Trust in the Lord” going to Christ in Action, every song downloaded will help. I just pray that everyone that hears it will buy 2, one for them and give one to someone else. Try this, make up a form, with the name of the song, Trust in the Lord on the top. Take it to your jobs, churches, gyms, wherever you frequent and take orders. Let everyone know who this is benefiting. Give yourself 2 weeks at a time. Then give to friends that don’t work with you, so they can give to other friends. “Each one reach one,” my Pastor says, “It’s a cinch by the inch; it’s just hard by the yard”.

Years ago we never had a care in the world. Our parents bought us everything we needed. Our concerns were: did my mother wash my sneakers for tomorrow? Is my girlfriend or boyfriend going to like what I have on? How should I wear my hair tomorrow?  I shaved on Monday, it’s Thursday, should I shave again?  I got money for Mickey D’s after school..What movie are we going to see this weekend? Are we going to have a good punch ball game? Wonder what’s on the lunch schedule? These are things WE take for granted.

Now the children in the south-New Orleans and Mississippi no longer have those innocent thoughts. Their reality is REAL…Some of their prayers are just to have a decent roof over their head and a 2nd pair of shoes. It’s inconceivable to understand that type of devastation unless you are one that this destruction happened to.

I feel privileged to have stayed in New Orleans in 1998 for 7 days and ride the Trolley from downtown through St. Charles. I frequented Bourbon Street and that took me back to the old Elvis Presley movies he filmed in New Orleans and to eat in my favorite restaurant, The Court of Two Sisters. That was New Orleans then, which will never be again but it CAN be made new.  You never know what you have lost until it’s gone. We have to stop taking each day for granted for it is not promised as so we have seen. For those that are still living, in whatever condition you are in, I will praise God that you are still amongst the living remember you didn’t have to be. If you didn’t believe in Jesus before, now would be a good time to believe. Know that things are not going to get GREAT overnight but once you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and Savior, what is bad know won’t seem as bad. When you know this world is temporary, this is where Jesus allows you to get it right and make your choice to serve our Father- GOD or the Devil. You must believe the devil is REAL and so is hell. What you have lived is a trial not hell…Whose are you going to belong to: God or Satan? The choice is easy- Jesus Christ- God.

As a Christian you don’t have to know the person to have compassion because when all is said and done God will not ask you about how many clothes that you have in your closet but who did you help clothe…
